I will do it but not right now!Jul 31, 2023
Procrastination is a common problem that many people struggle with and can have a negative impact on productivity, performance, and mental health.
Procrastination includes putting off tasks such as studying for an exam, completing a project, or paying bills. It can also take the form of avoiding certain activities such as going to the gym or attending social events.
Often caused by fear of failure, low self-confidence, perfectionism, lack of motivation and even distractions, procrastination can be overcome by simple steps such as:
Developing a plan of action which will make tasks easier to manage and tick off.
Setting realistic goals to keep you motivated and on track.
Breaking tasks into smaller, manageable chunks to prevent you from getting distracted.
Eliminating distractions which could mean turning off your phone, closing your email, or blocking certain websites.
Rewarding yourself for progress which could be something simple such as taking a break or treating yourself to a snack.
